2022 "Reading Off the Beaten Path" Summer Reading Fun at Eveleth Public Library!

Thank you for joining us on our Read Beyond the Beaten Path adventure this summer at the Eveleth Public Library. Our Summer Reading Program (SRP) will have some things happening at the library this summer, while others you can take home to do. And while we still want everyone to READ, our focus is less on programs at the library building and more on HAVING FUN wherever you are! We have a Summer Reading Log and other things that will have ideas for reading on it too.
The library will continue to be closed on Mondays, but open on Saturdays so that the staff has time to get things ready and working families will have time to visit this summer. On Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. we will have Story Time. We will show a G or PG-rated movie on Wednesday afternoons starting at 1 pm. Throughout the day on Thursdays we will have a craft project. This year’s program will run from Tuesday June 7th until Saturday July 30th. Welcome Packets will be available for pick up at the library starting Tuesday June 7th through July 26th, so you can start any time along in June or July. Just as we did last two years, we will have some of that week's projects, coloring sheets, and other fun things pre-packaged and ready for pick-up. Each week starting on Tuesdays in June and July you can just pick up that week’s packet and go. Instructions and any additional supplies for the craft and STEAM projects will be included in each packet or check the website here to see the instructions with lists of what’s needed for the project, the projects’ sources, and links to templates and how-to videos (when available). Track your Reading Times on your reading log and let us know how you are doing. Every time you read 20 minutes in a day mark it down. Although we encourage you to read as much as you want, please be aware that you can only count 60 minutes (1 hour) per day towards and only 300 minutes (5 hours) per week. (In each week's packet we will have enough stickers for 300 minutes). All prizes will be awarded August 2nd - August 21st. |
