Thank you for joining us as we Find Our Voice this summer at the Eveleth Public Library. Our Summer Reading Program (SRP) will have many things happening at the library this summer, while others you can take home to do. And while we still want everyone to READ, our focus is on HAVING FUN wherever you are! We have a Summer Reading Log and other things that will have ideas for reading on it too.
The library will continue to be closed on Mondays, but open on Saturdays so that the staff has time to get things ready and working families will have time to visit this summer. On Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. we will have Story Time. We will show a G or PG-rated movie on Wednesday afternoons starting at 1 pm. Throughout the day on Thursdays we will have a craft project. This year’s program will run from Friday June 9th until Monday July 31st. Welcome Packets will be available for pick up at the library starting Tuesday June 6th through July 22nd, so you can start any time along in June or July. Track your Reading Times on your reading log and let us know how you are doing. Every time you read 20 minutes in a day mark it down. Although we encourage you to read as much as you want, please be aware that you can only count 60 minutes (1 hour) per day towards and only 300 minutes (5 hours) per week. (In each week's packet we will have enough stickers for 300 minutes). Prizes will be awarded August 1st - August 19th.
