Summer Fun Program
Sign Up Starts June 1st!
We're Doing Summer Differently at the Eveleth Public Library!
This year’s Summer Reading Program (SRP) at the Eveleth Public Library will be different. To start with our focus will not be on the Timed Reading Logs, but on HAVING FUN! We will have a few on-going contests and hand out a few prizes, but we want everyone to be safe & have fun so here’s how things are going to go.
Sign-up starts June 1st!
All kids can participate in our online program. You will find the Timed Reading Logs, instructions for crafts, contests, and other information about what’s happening here on the website. Every child who reads 600 minutes or more from June 8th - August 3rd will receive a FREE BOOK after we re-open!
For in-town kids delivery starts June 8th!
For kids who live within Eveleth city limits each week the library will drop off a packet that will have supplies for that week's craft project, STEAM project, Community Build project, a component of a chalk sidewalk movement course, and a few coloring pages. The first week a child receives a packet it will also contain a brag tag on a chain. Each week a child receives a packet a different brag tag should be in the packet. When the library reopens bring the brag tags in for a FREE BOOK. Library staff will do a No-Contact drop off of the packets to the household of each child who lives within the Eveleth city limits and signs up for our summer program. (Kids can join the Eveleth Summer Fun Program through July).
Eveleth Public Library is not currently open to the public and is not planning to offer curbside pick-up this summer.
We respectfully ask that families living in other local communities who would normal participate in our summer program participate in the program for their home community this year as we will not be delivering packets outside the Eveleth city limits.
