Just after Covid-19 closed the Eveleth Public Library down we got word that we were the recipient of a grant from the Eveleth Foundation for the creation of a Multi-Sensory collection to help us provide a variety of interactive, tactile books, dyslexia-friendly font books and read-along book/cd items to help kids, particularly the struggling and reluctant readers, form positive experiences of the library.
For an item to be multi-sensory means that the reader interacts with it more than just visually through words. These may be pop-up or lift-the-flap books, audiobooks or books with cd (read-along). There may be pictures that move or grooves to run your finger along as you move from one part of a story to the next. These books shown below are only a small part of the new collection. We also have kids books on cd as well as Read-Along book & cd sets. Comments are closed.
